I Want to be A 1,000 pound woman

Who says they want to become a 1,000 pound person? I think maybe a small child who thinks this is cool and does not know about the negative stigmas associated with being an 1,000 pound person. I do not think any mature adult would be willing to want to eat themselves to the weight of a 1,000 pounds.

The controversy of a woman wanting to become bigger in an American society, where the marjority of the American people are struggling with weight issues and health problems. Then an infamous woman seeks attention by publicizing that she want to gain more weight. She has a right to eat and become bigger, but she needs to realize the burden she will be on caretakers and that her health could possible fail. It is reported that this woman has children. I wonder does she thinks about the affects this will have on her children. Her quality of life is already very poor, she has to ride on a motorized shooter to get places.

This is a reference to a New Jersey woman named, Donna Simpson, who currently weighs six hundered plus pounds and want to reach her goal of weighing 1,000 pounds. This doesn't seem like an actually news story. Now days people want to be famous for anything. What will be the next publicity stunt from another average Joe or average Jane?

A bizarre twist to this story is that the six hundred pound woman is making money off her obsession to gain more weight. Yes, people are paying to see Donna Simpson eat huge amonts of food. I wonder who are these people who are paying money to see a woman eat until she is about to bust. There are things I want pay to see and this is one of them. What is the infatuation with this type of behavior? I am not impressed and think people who deserve media coverage, should be people doing positive things not shocking things. Will our society continue to be looking for the next shocking thing or will one day soon all this nonsense stop.

Donna Simpson represents a small portion of the extremely obsese people in our society and it seems that she is trying anything to receive attention. My advice would be for a professional to help her with her problems that if she has problems.

  1. Just so WRONG to pay to watch someone kill themselves - that's what's happening here.

The web should pull the plug on this one.
